Owner, Manager, Teaching Pro
Mark’s early tennis career included successful seasons on his high school and college teams. In 1994, he began to teach tennis full-time at St Clair Tennis. He also helped coach boys and girls teams at Belleville Township High School East. He is certified with the USPTA and many of his students have been State Qualifiers and have earned college scholarships.
Naomi Brunner
Owner, Manager
Naomi has been a recreational tennis player since her WI childhood. Before her involvement at St Clair Tennis, she enjoyed careers as a Registered Nurse and Personal & Family Counselor. She has taught the “Mental Training” in the EX Program and focuses on providing a positive tennis experience at St Clair Tennis.
Nick Mueller
Teaching Pro
Nick played high school tennis and also was on the college team at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. He began teaching tennis during his college years and went on to coach at various colleges, the last being Head Women’s Coach at SIU-Edwardsville. Nick is certified by the PTR.
Dan Brunner
Teaching Pro
Dan has been playing tennis since the age of 6 and went on to play for his high school team, where he was Conference champion and a State Qualifier. He was awarded a tennis scholarship to Southwest Illinois College. He was an assistant coach at Belleville West and became a full-time teaching pro in 2013. At St Clair Tennis, Dan is the Junior Development Program Director and the Director of Racquet Maintenance.
Dave Kelley
Teaching Pro
Dave grew up playing tennis and was on the Varsity team at Althoff High School in Belleville. After graduation from SIUE, he began his full-time career at St Clair Tennis as a Teaching Pro. He has coached many State Qualifiers and College tennis scholarship recipients.

Johnny Connors
Teaching Pro
Johnny had a storied tennis history, training in the Belleville/East St Louis area with his brother, Jimmy, with many experiences on the professional circuit. He brought his skill and expertise to select private students at St Clair Tennis.
His enthusiasm, encouraging words, and larger-than-life personality are greatly missed.
Greg Nester
Teaching Pro
Greg has re-joined the teaching staff at St Clair Tennis, working with the kids in the Junior Program and also leading his private groups and lessons. He’s a well-known player and instructor in our area, spending his summers as the Head Pro at St Clair Country Club. He is also the Head Coach of the boys’ and girls’ teams at Althoff High School.
Carol Sterthman
Lobby Staff
Anyone who has played at St Clair Tennis knows Carol Sterthman. She has been a member of the lobby staff for many years. Carol is also active in organizing local tournaments..
Curtis Martin
Auxiliary Teacher, Lobby Staff, Outdoor Maintenance
Curtis played on the tennis team at Belleville East and is currently playing on the SWIC tennis team. He works at St Clair Tennis on the court, teaching some of our Junior Program classes and also helps in the Lobby, assisting customers and clients at the front desk. Curtis also helps with the mowing and trimming of our property.
Mike Major
Lobby Staff
After retirement from a Collinsville business career, Mike joined us at St Clair Tennis to help out as a Lobby Staff member. He has been a tennis player for much of his life, and enjoys joining the Seniors to keep up his game. Being a member for many years, Mike is familiar with many of our members and is available to help make their tennis experience a positive one.
Olivia White
Auxiliary Teacher, Lobby Staff
Olivia is a student at O’Fallon Township High school, where she is on the Tennis Team and also a member of the Marching Band. She has worked hard at her tennis and helps teach in our Little Hitter Program. She also assists customers at our Front Desk.
Abigail McIsaac
Auxiliary Teacher, Lobby Staff
Abigail is a student at SWIC. She played Varsity tennis at Belleville East High School. She grew up playing tennis in the St Clair Junior and EX Programs and teaches in the Cardio Tennis and Junior Programs.
Rowen Brunner
Lobby Staff/Auxiliary Worker
Rowen is a student at O’Fallon Township High School, where he participates in golf and tennis. He has trained in the St Clair Tennis Junior program since he was little and assists teaching in the drills and Little Hitter Program.
Annabelle Brunner
Website Editing Assistant
Annabelle is a student at Millstadt Consolidated School. She assists us at St Clair Tennis, where she helps keep website information current. She also is a participant in our EX Junior Program and practices tennis often as she prepares for her high school tennis career.
